Wallace Campers — Our Story
Our Story

our-story

It started with a simple idea — see Scotland properly, on your own terms, with nothing between you and the road.

Inside a Wallace Campers van

Wallace Campers came out of a frustration with the options available. Overpriced vans with tired interiors, booking processes designed to confuse, and a general lack of care about the experience once you drove off the lot.

We wanted to build something different. A fleet maintained to the standard we'd want ourselves. A booking process that takes minutes, not meetings. And a handover that means you're on the road — not reading a manual in a car park.

Based in Glasgow, we run campervans across Scotland — from weekend runs to the Trossachs to full NC500 circuits. Every van is checked between hires, stocked with the essentials, and ready to go.

What We Stand For

Three things. No more, no less.

01

No Compromise On The Van

Every van is maintained to a standard we'd hire ourselves. Clean, fully equipped, mechanically sound. If it's not right, it doesn't go out.

02

Straight Talking

No hidden fees. No fine print designed to catch you out. The price you see is the price you pay. Damage deposits are fair and returned fast.

03

Freedom First

Your trip, your route, your schedule. We'll suggest routes if you want them, but we're not going to tell you how to spend your time. That's the whole point.

The Journey So Far
The Idea

Frustration with the status quo. Too many hire companies running tired vans with complicated terms. Decided to build something better.

First Van

First campervan acquired, converted, and kitted out to our spec. Tested it ourselves on a week-long Highland circuit before listing it.

Fleet Grows

Demand exceeded expectations. Added more vans to the fleet, each held to the same standard. Glasgow base established.

What's Next

Expanding the fleet, refining the experience, and staying focused on what matters — putting people on the road in vans they can trust.

Enough about us. Your turn.

Pick a van, pick your dates, and go see what Scotland's about.
